Small Animal Care
The small animal portion of our business routinely cares for cats and dogs, but our veterinarians have treated poultry, guinea pigs, rabbits, and pot-bellied pigs. Please call to ask if appointments for these other animal types are available. Our receptionists can also direct you to other clinics the area that work with exotic and pocket pets.
Specialized Services
- 24-Hour Emergency Services: Being pet owners ourselves, we all understand that animals don’t just need medical assistance during business hours. Milford Animal Clinic offers 24/7 large and small animal emergency services for established clients. During normal business hours, please call our office number. Outside of normal business hours, please call 574-528-1897 to reach the doctor on call. If you call the office number outside of business hours you will also receive this number via message. If you are not a current small animal client, please call Northern Indiana Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Hospital (Fort Wayne, IN) at 260-426-1062.
- On-site Kennel Inspections: The USDA mandates that kennels and breeding facilities be inspected by a licensed veterinarian on an annual basis to ensure the animals are receiving humane care and treatment. The inspection includes the doctor’s written suggestions on the care and health of the animals, education of the client, and allows a time for individual examinations and yearly vaccinations to be done on the premises instead of the client bringing the animals to the clinic. Please contact the clinic to check for inspection appointment availability. Due to high work load we may not accept new kennels.
